Ze’ev Friedman was an Israeli weightlifter who started as a gymnast before specializing in weightlifting. He represented the Hapoel Kiryat Haim sports club and won a bronze medal at the 1971 Asian Weightlifting Championships. He competed in the 1972 Munich Olympics, finishing 12th, which was a significant achievement for an Israeli athlete at that time. Sadly, he was a victim of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre by the Palestinian Black September group.
