Known for his exceptional speed, finesse, and elusive fighting style, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of the 20th century. In 1990, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, where he was honored as the top featherweight boxer of the century by multiple organizations.
