Walter Becker was a renowned American musician, songwriter, and record producer recognized for his contributions as the co-founder, guitarist, bassist, and co-songwriter of the jazz rock band Steely Dan. After a period of the band being on hiatus, Becker explored record production and had a brief collaboration with the band China Crisis. He later reunited with Fagen to rejuvenate Steely Dan, leading to additional Grammy-winning albums and his own solo projects.
