Viktors Ščerbatihs is a retired Latvian weightlifter and former politician. He is a three-time Olympian, having won a silver medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics in weightlifting. Ščerbatihs has also achieved success in World Championships, winning a gold medal and three bronze medals. Additionally, he has a strong track record in the European Championships, earning multiple medals. In 2006, Ščerbatihs began his political career with the Latvian Farmers’ Union and was later elected to parliament.
