Victoria “Vicki” Manalo Draves was a pioneering Filipino American diver who made history at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. She became the first woman to win gold medals in both the ten-meter platform and the three-meter springboard diving events. Draves also became the first American woman to achieve dual gold medals in diving and the first Asian American to claim Olympic gold. Her remarkable accomplishments paved the way for future divers.
