Sawchuk’s impressive achievements include winning the Calder Trophy, receiving the Vezina Trophy four times, and being a four-time Stanley Cup champion. He was also honored with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Sawchuk held the NHL records for wins and shutouts until his passing. Even today, he is recognized as a significant figure in hockey history, having been named one of the “100 Greatest NHL Players” in 2017.
