Tatyana Kolpakova is a retired long jumper who represented the USSR. She started athletics at 15 and achieved the title of Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR. She won the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics with a record-breaking jump. After retiring, she worked as a coach and later held positions in athletic clubs and the Olympic Committee for Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism. She continues to work in a leadership role at the committee.
