Tammi Terrell was an American singer-songwriter who became a prominent artist at Motown Records in the 1960s. She started her career in her teenage years, recording for different labels until she joined Motown in 1965. Collaborating with Marvin Gaye, they produced successful singles such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing.” Unfortunately, Terrell’s career was abruptly ended when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and passed away at 24.
