Tamás Darnyi is considered one of the greatest medley swimmers in history. He won four gold medals at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games and remained undefeated in individual medley events from 1985 until his retirement in 1993. Darnyi was the first swimmer to complete the 200m medley (long course) in under 2 minutes, solidifying his legacy in swimming.
