Steve Fritz is an American retired decathlete who had a successful career as an athlete and coach. He excelled in decathlon at Kansas State University, setting records and representing the United States on numerous national teams. Fritz achieved notable victories at international competitions and was honored with inductions into the K-State Athletics Hall of Fame and the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. Transitioning into coaching, he served as an assistant coach for the Kansas State track and field team for over two decades and currently coaches basketball and track at Wamego High School.
