Sohrab Moradi, an Iranian retired weightlifter, is renowned for his success in the sport. He won the gold medal in the 94 kg weight category at the 2016 Olympics and was the Asian champion in the 85 kg weight class in 2009 and 2012. In 2013, he received a two-year ban for doping after testing positive for methadone. Nonetheless, Moradi is still celebrated for his contributions to weightlifting.
