Shivnarine Chanderpaul is a Guyanese cricket coach and former captain of the West Indies cricket team, known as one of the greatest batsmen of his era. Chanderpaul’s unorthodox batting stance and consistent performance garnered him recognition, such as being named as one of Wisden’s Cricketers of the Year and receiving the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. After a successful career, he transitioned to coaching roles, currently leading the USA senior women’s and Under-19 women’s teams. Chanderpaul’s contributions to cricket were further honored with his induction into the ICC Hall of Fame and receiving the Cacique’s Crown of Honour.
