Sergei Viktorovich Fedorov, a Russian former professional ice hockey player, had an illustrious career spanning 13 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. He also played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Washington Capitals. Fedorov made history as one of the first hockey players to defect from the Soviet Union to join the NHL. Throughout his career, he achieved significant milestones, including winning the Stanley Cup three times with Detroit and being honored with the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player in 1994. Fedorov’s impressive NHL tenure saw him play over 1,200 games, scoring 483 goals, and establishing himself as one of the top playoff performers in league history. Recognized for his contributions to the sport, Fedorov was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015 and the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 2016. Additionally, he was selected as one of the “100 Greatest NHL Players” in history.
