Roy Buchanan, an American guitarist and blues musician, is renowned for his role in pioneering the Telecaster sound. He enjoyed a successful career as both a sideman and solo artist, earning two gold albums and releasing two solo albums that charted on Billboard. Though he did not achieve widespread fame, he is highly respected as a significant guitar player. Guitar Player magazine even acknowledged him for possessing one of the “50 Greatest Tones of All Time.” Buchanan also appeared on the PBS music program Austin City Limits.
