Ronnie Peterson, also known as ‘SuperSwede’, was a renowned Swedish racing driver who made his mark in kart racing before moving on to Formula Three and Formula One. He had successful spells with March and Lotus teams, earning numerous podium finishes and wins, with a career-high of 52 points in 1973. Following a short stint with Tyrrell, he rejoined Lotus in 1978, winning two races and finishing as the runner-up in the Drivers’ Championship. Tragically, he lost his life in a first-lap crash at the Italian Grand Prix.
