Ron Goodwin, an English composer and conductor, was renowned for his film music. He scored over 70 films throughout his career, which spanned five decades. Some of his notable works included soundtracks for Where Eagles Dare, Battle of Britain, and Miss Marple films. Goodwin began learning piano and trumpet at a young age and later studied trumpet at the Guildhall School of Music. He went on to form his own orchestra, arrange and conduct recordings for various performers, and collaborate with different film studios. In the 1980s, he shifted his focus to live orchestral performances around the world.
