Ron Dellums was a prominent American politician who held office as Mayor of Oakland and as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives for thirteen terms. He played a significant role in the passing of the Comprehensive Anti-Apartheid Act of 1986, despite encountering resistance from President Reagan.
