He started his career in newspapers and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Novak worked as a reporter for the Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal. He co-founded Inside Report with Rowland Evans, the longest-running syndicated political column in U.S. history. Novak also made contributions to CNN and various publications, earning the nickname “Prince of Darkness” for his conservative perspectives.
