Rick Husband was a distinguished American astronaut and fighter pilot recognized for his courage and commitment to space exploration. He participated in two space missions, acting as the pilot of STS-96 and the commander of STS-107. Unfortunately, he and his crew members lost their lives in the Columbia shuttle disaster during reentry. Nevertheless, Husband is remembered for his remarkable contributions to space travel and was honored posthumously with the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.
