Throughout his career, he achieved significant recognition including being a 14-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger Award winner, AL MVP in 1973, two-time World Series MVP, and recipient of the Babe Ruth Award in 1977. His jersey numbers have been retired by both the Yankees and Athletics. Currently, Jackson serves as a special advisor to the Houston Astros.
