Harryhausen’s groundbreaking special effects, like the memorable skeleton warriors in Jason and the Argonauts, served as inspiration for numerous filmmakers. He obtained dual American-British citizenship in 1960 and lived in London until his retirement following Clash of the Titans (1981).
