Peter Boardman was a celebrated English mountaineer and author known for his bold and efficient Himalayan expeditions. His fruitful collaborations with Joe Tasker and notable impact on mountain literature are well-remembered. Sadly, Boardman and Tasker perished on the North East Ridge of Mount Everest in 1982. The Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature was created in their honor to commend exceptional contributions to mountain-related literature.
