Otto Steinert was a renowned German photographer who co-founded the avant-garde photography group Fotoform. Alongside his photography, Steinert was highly respected as an educator. He taught at the Folkwang Hochschule school in Essen for close to twenty years, from 1959 until his passing in 1978. Steinert’s impact went beyond his own photographic work, as he shared his expertise and love for the art with aspiring photographers during his time as an educator.
