Nycke Groot is a highly accomplished Dutch handball player who has represented the Netherlands in multiple World Women’s Handball Championships and two editions of the Olympic Games. Throughout her career, she has won a silver medal in Denmark 2015 and a bronze in Germany 2017. Groot made the decision to retire from the national team in January 2019 to focus on her club career. However, she later announced her participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 before ultimately retiring from her club career.
