She has participated in various competitions such as the North American Cup circuit, World Cup, and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Komuro achieved her best World Cup finish of fourth place in Lake Placid, New York, in 2010. Despite facing disqualification in the 2010 Winter Olympics due to her sled not meeting FIBT regulations, she has continued to compete at high levels in the sport.
