Nobuo Uematsu is a renowned Japanese composer and keyboardist known for his work on the Final Fantasy video game series by Square Enix. He started his career at Square in 1986, collaborating with Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi on numerous games. After leaving Square in 2004, Uematsu established his own production company and music label, Dog Ear Records. As a freelancer, he continues to compose music for various games and has been involved in performances of his works at Final Fantasy concerts worldwide. Uematsu is often referred to as the Beethoven of game music due to his significant contributions in the field.
