Nimco Ali is a prominent British social activist of Somali descent known for her advocacy to end female genital mutilation (FGM). She is the co-founder and CEO of The Five Foundation, a global initiative committed to eradicating FGM. Additionally, Ali co-founded the Ginsburg Women’s Health Board and ran for a parliamentary seat in the 2017 general election under the Women’s Equality Party. She has collaborated with multiple political groups, including endorsing the Conservative Party, and served as an Independent Government Adviser on Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls from 2020 to 2022.
