Nicky Hayden, also known as “The Kentucky Kid,” was a successful American professional motorcycle racer who competed in various championships throughout his career. He began racing in the CMRA and went on to excel in the AMA Supersport and Superbike Championships. Hayden transitioned to MotoGP with the Repsol Honda team in 2003, where he initially had mixed results. However, in 2006, he achieved a significant milestone by winning the MotoGP World Championship, ending Valentino Rossi’s streak. Hayden later competed for Ducati and Honda Aspar before moving to the Superbike World Championship with Ten Kate Racing Honda in 2016. Tragically, he passed away in 2017 following a cycling accident in Italy.
