Nick Nurse is a highly successful American professional basketball coach and former player. He currently serves as the head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA, following his previous role as the head coach of the Toronto Raptors where he led the team to an NBA championship in 2019. Nurse was also honored with the title of NBA Coach of the Year in 2020 during his tenure with the Raptors. Prior to his coaching career, he played college basketball for the Northern Iowa Panthers and went on to play professionally with the Derby Rams in the British Basketball League.
