Neil Peart, a highly acclaimed musician from Canada and the United States, was best known as the drummer and primary lyricist of the rock band Rush. He gained recognition for his exceptional drumming skills and precise live performances. Peart became a member of Rush in 1974, and they produced nineteen studio albums, some of which achieved platinum status. Drawing inspiration from both rock and jazz drummers, he continuously evolved his style. Peart also wrote memoirs and nonfiction books covering various themes including science fiction and philosophy. After retiring from touring in 2015, Rush disbanded in 2018 due to his health concerns.
