Nancy Sharon Kissinger, an accomplished American philanthropist and former Rockefeller political aide, had a successful career prior to marrying former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. She began her career as an aide to New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller, a position recommended by Kissinger during his time as a Harvard professor. Nancy later worked as Kissinger’s researcher on a Rockefeller task force and eventually became the director of international studies for Rockefeller’s Commission on Critical Choices for Americans. In the late 1960s, she took a sabbatical from her research role to pursue studies at the Sorbonne.
