Mike Starr was a talented American musician who served as the original bassist for rock band Alice in Chains from 1987 to 1993. He was also a member of several other bands such as Sato, Gypsy Rose, Sun Red Sun, and Days of the New. Despite his notable contributions to the music industry as a skilled bassist, Starr battled with substance abuse issues, including heroin and synthetic opioids. Tragically, his life was cut short in 2011 due to a prescription drug overdose at the age of 44.
