Mike Gartner had a successful professional ice hockey career spanning 19 seasons in the NHL, playing for various teams including the Washington Capitals, Minnesota North Stars, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Phoenix Coyotes. He also spent a season in the WHA with the Cincinnati Stingers. Gartner achieved significant recognition, winning two Canada Cups with Team Canada and being named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001, he has served on the HHOF Selection Committee and became its Chair in 2022.
