Michelle Kelly, a former Canadian skeleton racer, had a successful career spanning from 1994 to 2013. Originally an elite gymnast, she made the switch to the Canadian Women’s National Bobsleigh Team as a brakeman before transitioning to skeleton in 1995. Kelly decided to focus on skeleton after its introduction at the 2002 Winter Olympics, where she achieved a 10th place finish. She continued to compete in the sport at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, securing a bronze medal at the FIBT World Championships in 2005 and clinching the women’s Skeleton World Cup overall title in 2002-2003.
