Michael Anthony Richards is an American actor and former stand-up comedian famous for his portrayal of Cosmo Kramer on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998. He received outstanding reviews and won three Primetime Emmy Awards for his performance. Richards has also been featured in numerous television series and movies including Mad About You, Cheers, and So I Married an Axe Murderer. Although a short-lived sitcom venture, he continues to make sporadic television appearances, notably guest-starring on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
