Michael Connelly is a highly regarded American author celebrated for his detective novels and crime fiction, with a focus on LAPD Detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch and attorney Mickey Haller. He has authored 38 novels and one non-fiction book, which collectively have been translated into 40 languages and sold over 74 million copies worldwide. His debut novel, The Black Echo, won the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award in 1992. Connelly’s literary works have been successfully adapted into films, such as Blood Work in 2002 directed by Clint Eastwood and The Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey in 2011. Additionally, he has held the position of President at the Mystery Writers of America.
