Melissa Auf der Maur is a Canadian musician who started her music career in 1993 with the indie rock band Tinker. She later played bass in the American alternative rock band Hole and contributed to their album Celebrity Skin. Following her time with Hole, she briefly toured with The Smashing Pumpkins before embarking on a solo career. Auf der Maur has released two studio albums and collaborated with various artists. Apart from music, she is also a photographer and actress, with her work showcased in National Geographic and Sotheby’s. Additionally, she is a co-owner of an arts and performance center in New York.
