Birthdate: September 17, 1934
Sun Sign: Virgo
Birthplace: San Diego, California, United States

Maureen Connolly, also known as “Little Mo,” was a remarkable American tennis player in the early 1950s. She secured nine major singles titles and made history as the first woman to complete a Grand Slam in 1953. She holds the unique distinction of being the only player to win all four major tournaments in a calendar year without losing a set. Tragically, her bright career ended abruptly at 19 due to a severe leg injury sustained in a horseback riding accident, forcing her to retire prematurely.
