Madan Mohan Malaviya was an Indian scholar, educational reformer, and politician who made significant contributions to the Indian independence movement. He served as president of the Indian National Congress three times and was the founder of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. Malaviya played a crucial role in advancing modern education in India by establishing the Banaras Hindu University in 1916. Additionally, he founded The Leader newspaper and played a role in setting up The Bharat Scouts and Guides. In recognition of his contributions, Malaviya was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2014.
