LeeRoy Yarbrough was a highly successful American stock car racer renowned for his achievements between 1960 and 1972. Over the course of 198 races, he claimed victory in fourteen races, secured 65 top-five finishes, 92 top-ten finishes, and attained ten pole positions. Yarbrough also participated in open-wheel racing, particularly showcasing his skills in USAC Championship cars, with three appearances at the prestigious Indianapolis 500. His racing number was 98, and he was posthumously inducted into the National Motorsports Press Association’s Hall of Fame in 1990.
