Kumar Sangakkara, a retired Sri Lankan cricketer, is renowned for his exceptional skills as a wicket-keeper-batter. He represented Sri Lanka in 134 Test matches, captaining the team in fifteen matches. Sangakkara also played for Nondescripts Cricket Club and Surrey County Cricket Club in first-class cricket. He excelled in all three forms of international cricket, ranking as the second-highest run-scorer overall with 28,016 runs and 63 centuries. Following his retirement, Sangakkara has worked as a commentator for Sky Sports, served as President of the MCC, and coached Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. In June 2021, he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
