Kong Hee is known as the founder and senior pastor of City Harvest Church. He was involved in the City Harvest Church Criminal Breach of Trust Case, which was Singapore’s largest misuse of charitable funds case. In 2015, he was convicted and considered the central figure in the scandal, found guilty of three charges of criminal breach of trust. The court acknowledged that the misappropriated funds were eventually returned to the church. Kong served a prison sentence from April 2017 to August 2019. He is active in the Christian Charismatic Movement, focusing on the Great Commandment, the Great Commission, and the Cultural Mandate.
