Katrina Maree “Triny” Powell OAM is a highly accomplished Australian field hockey player, having competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics. Over her career, she played in 252 matches and scored 141 goals for Australia. Powell was instrumental in the Hockeyroos’ gold medal victories at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. Her exceptional contributions to the sport were recognized with the Medal of the Order of Australia and the Australian Sports Medal. In a historic moment in March 2021, Powell became the first female coach of the Hockeyroos in 43 years.
