Jon Kyl is a former American politician and lobbyist who represented Arizona as a United States Senator from 1995 to 2013. He made a brief return to the Senate in 2018 after the passing of John McCain. As a Republican, Kyl held both of Arizona’s Senate seats at separate times. He served as the Senate Minority Whip from 2007 to 2013 and was recognized as one of America’s Ten Best Senators by Time magazine in 2006. Throughout his Senate career, Kyl held various leadership positions within the Republican Party.
