John Paul “Chief” Bucyk is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. He spent most of his career with the Boston Bruins, being associated with the team since the late 1950s. Bucyk was recognized as one of the ‘100 Greatest NHL Players’ in 2017. Known for his skill as a left winger and his physical presence on the ice, Bucyk had a long and successful career, retiring as the fourth leading point scorer of all time. He was also a two-time winner of the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship and a key member of the Bruins’ Stanley Cup-winning teams in 1970 and 1972.
