Bench, a fourteen-time All-Star and two-time National League MVP, excelled both offensively and defensively. He set records for home runs by a catcher and was known for his exceptional defensive skills, winning ten Gold Glove Awards. Inducted into the Reds and Baseball Hall of Fame, Bench is widely regarded as the greatest catcher in baseball history.
