John Lee Hooker was a highly influential American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his unique electric guitar style, which was a fusion of Delta blues with elements of talking blues and North Mississippi hill country blues. Hooker was considered one of the greatest male blues vocalists and was ranked 35th on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest guitarists. His albums like The Healer, Mr. Lucky, Chill Out, and Don’t Look Back were successful in the U.S. and UK, earning him Grammy wins for his work.
