Jocko Willink is a retired United States Navy officer and former member of SEAL Team 3. He served in the Iraq War and commanded SEAL Team 3’s Task Unit Bruiser in combat actions against Iraqi insurgents in Ramadi. Willink was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medal for his service, achieving the rank of lieutenant commander. He co-authored books such as Extreme Ownership and The Dichotomy of Leadership, and co-founded the management consulting firm Echelon Front, LLC. Willink also hosts the Jocko Podcast and holds a B.A. in English.
