Jimmy Perry OBE, an accomplished English scriptwriter and actor, is renowned for co-creating multiple successful BBC sitcoms with David Croft. These include Dad’s Army, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, Hi-De-Hi, and You Rang, M’Lord? Perry also collaborated with Derek Taverner to write the iconic theme tune for Dad’s Army, “Who Do You Think You Are Kidding, Mr. Hitler?”, which earned him an Ivor Novello Award in 1971. His significant contributions to British television comedy have established a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.
