Jim Ross, also known as “Good Ol’ JR,” is a prominent American professional wrestling commentator, sports announcer, podcaster, and occasional wrestler. Throughout his long and distinguished career primarily in WWE, he has earned a reputation as one of the greatest wrestling commentators in the industry. Ross has lent his talents to various wrestling promotions, including Mid-South Wrestling, NWA, and WWF/WWE, where he became a prominent figure during the Attitude Era. He has also provided commentary for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts. In addition, he has been honored with inductions into multiple wrestling halls of fame and is well-known for his barbecue sauce and beef jerky brand, J.R.’s Family BBQ.
